I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas and a Master of Arts in Counseling with concentrations in Licensed Professional Counseling and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. I have worked in community mental health, suicide prevention, mobile crisis and providing counseling services in outpatient settings. I have extensive training in trauma and mind body medicine. My primary work is helping individuals manage major life transitions and processing and identifying health skills to cope with these events.  I assist individuals to learn to manage symptoms that can accompany experiencing traumatic events and major life events with the help of mind-body medicine and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have experience working with the veterans and their family members as well as the LGBTQ community, chronically homeless, and individual’s experiencing severe mental health issues. I also enjoy working with couples to help them learn to communicate effectively.
